My Notion Journey: A Peek Into How I Organize

After years of watching Thomas Frank’s College Info Geek videos and obsessing over To-Do lists, I could never find a workflow that worked best for me. One Note was great for school, but not really to manage my ideas, projects, or action items. I usde Habitica, Trello, Todoist, Google Docs, and even switched to plain-old paper notes in between.

I couldn’t find something that combined it all until I stumbled upon Notion. Before I show you all my set-up, I just wanted to give some appreciation to the Notion team explaining why exactly I love this app.

  1. Everyone’s workspace looks different

Notion is so customizable. My workspace can look completely different from my friend’s sister’s hamster’s or co-worker’s page. You don’t have to try to find a way for your life to fit into the application, the application will match itself to your needs.

2. Transparency

It’s pretty awesome how their team is accessible and lets us know exactly what features they’re working on, and why. They know their users desperately want Google Calendar integrated into their application. But before they can make that happen, they explained in one update that they’ll be focusing on speed, because of the new influx of users they need to accommodate onto their platform.
